This patient has been seen four times for care!
When we began her right upper extremity was in a spastic paralysis. After four sessions she’s gained great deal of function. The things that she can now do seem like small insignificant things to the average person. However when you have not been able to do them and gain the ability it is life changing.
Initially she could not move her right arm nor grasp with her right hand. In their words, it was a useless limb. Restoration not only returned function but has returned self-esteem as she feels and sees her contribution in daily activities. She is excited to contribute in ways that she could not before. For example, she can lift boxes and move them from one room to another; plus! for the first time lift and move her coffee table in her words, ” in a very long time.”
